The Motability Scheme was set up nearly 40 years ago to help disabled people with their personal mobility. The purpose of the scheme is offer a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair to disabled people without the worry of owning and running one. Those receiving PIP, DLA, WPMS and/or AFIP are eligible to take advantage of the scheme. Test drives are available so contact us to today to book yours!
With Motability you can enjoy a new Ford car every three years, with service, maintenance and repair costs included.

New to Scheme
When you sign up to the Motability scheme with Ford you are signing up to 3 years of worry-free motoring in a new Ford of your choice. All you have to do is assign your Mobility allowance, then your nominated Ford dealership will take care of everything; insurance, servicing, maintenance and much more - all you have to pay for is fuel alongside any advance payment.
Full list of benefits include:
- A new Ford of your choice every three years
- Insurance, loss and damage protection, personal accident cover for named drivers and passengers
- Servicing, maintenance and repairs at your Ford Dealer
- Full breakdown assistance from the RAC
- Window and windscreen replacement
- A 60,000-mile allowance during the three years
- Free replacement tyres fitted by Kwik-Fit
There are some vehicles available at no extra cost to your allowance.
However, if you want a higher specification vehicle or one of our larger cars you can opt to pay a one off ‘Advance Payment’
Eligibility
Whether you choose to drive or nominate a carer or family member, and you receive any of the following allowances with at least 12 months remaining you could qualify.
These are:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (HRMC-DLA)
- Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of the Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
- War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
- Child Disability Payment (CDP-Scotland only)
