We're here if you need us.
An update from Neil Palmer.
Firstly, I would like to wish you all well and hope that you and your families are staying safe. Like all businesses within the UK and indeed, worldwide, we are closely monitoring the impact that COVID-19 is having on our business, our colleagues, our customers and business partners.
We are very much aware and respectful of the government’s message that all UK citizens and businesses must play their part in protecting the most vulnerable in our society and ensuring that the NHS has the ability to care for their patients. We are also mindful of the thousands of key workers that are working incredibly hard.
Therefore, I’m pleased to announce that on 28th April 2020, our Aftersales operations will re-open to the public, giving priority to NHS staff and key workers requiring vehicle servicing and maintenance, but also available to our valued customers. It is important that we all abide by the rules and guidelines set by the government, but also aware that everybody needs to be kept mobile to buy essential items, for any medical needs or to get to work if that cannot be done from home. When a problem with your vehicle arises, having the work done to get you safely back on the road can be difficult at the moment with so many automotive businesses closed, so we have taken the decision to help you, our customers during this challenging time.
We anticipate that initially demand will be high and are therefore operating an appointment only basis. Please do not arrive at the dealership without making a confirmed appointment first, this is in order to limit the number of customers we have in our premises at any one time and to stagger customer drop offs as much as possible.
On site, we’ll be taking every measure to ensure the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff by acknowledging social distancing and our showrooms will be clearly marked to allow everyone to move around safely. We will be taking all payments, where possible by card and emailing you a copy of your invoice.
In addition to the above, I’m also pleased to announce that the government have confirmed that we are now able to continue with vehicle deliveries, ensuring that we follow the clear guidelines set out by Public Health England to protect both our customers and our employees. If you missed your delivery date due to lockdown then we will be making contact with you, but please do feel free to contact us should you wish to do so to arrange the delivery of your new vehicle.
We also continue to support customers who wish to purchase cars, by offering a contactless buying service. In the next few days our website will allow you to obtain a part exchange valuation, apply for finance, reserve your vehicle and arrange for your car to be delivered, all without having to leave your home.
Take care and stay safe, and I will keep you updated with other business news as and when I have it.
