To save you the most money with e:PROGRESS, consider a dynamic tariff such as the Agile Octopus tariff from Octopus Energy. e:PROGRESS works with this tariff to automatically select the lowest cost times to charge, saving you up to £2,034 a year*. There is an array of ‘EV tariffs’ emerging on the market but most customers if they haven’t yet changed, will be using a standard tariff, otherwise known as a flat rate.
Regardless of using e:PROGRESS, customers purchasing an EV will benefit from cheaper charging by using an EV tariff. e:PROGRESS will work with these tariffs to schedule charging at the cheapest times. The most suitable are dual-rate and dynamic tariffs.
Installation

To unlock the full benefits of e:PROGRESS, the installation of our chargers is provided by Pod Point.
Always meeting the required government legislation on charger installation, you can feel safe in the knowledge that the team will provide a quick and professional service throughout the process.
1. Charger Selection and Online Survey
If you need a charger installed, complete our short form and then Pod Point will contact you to start your journey. After selecting your charger of choice, you will then complete an online survey so that Pod Point can understand the requirements of your installation. Following this, Pod Point will liaise with you directly to find an ideal date and time to book your installation.
2. Installation Day
An expert installer from Pod Point will support you in selecting the best spot for your charger, ensuring it’s convenient and suited to your space.
Then once it is in place, the installer will handle all of the technical setup and connect it to your Wi-Fi. This installation typically only takes two hours as well!
3. Demonstration
After everything has been tested and is fully operational, the installer will then provide you with a detailed demonstration of how your charger works and answer any questions you may have.
4. Join e:PROGRESS
Connect your new charger in the e:PROGRESS app and you can start saving with Intelligent Charging.Pod Point will help you with the initial connection and will also be on hand for any support needed with the charger.

e:PROGRESS works with any dynamic, dual rate, or flat rate tariff and is designed to support the Agile Octopus tariff. We recommend using a dynamic or dual rate tariff to receive the maximum benefit from e:PROGRESS as this ensures maximum cost and carbon savings.
No. Whilst we do recommend installing a home charger for safety and more efficient charging, it is not necessary. e:PROGRESS can operate with a standard 3-pin socket charging method.
The location of the charger will depend on the distance from your consumer unit and the available power at your selected location.
If you choose a charger through our installation partner Pod Point, they will advise you on the best location for your charger during your free home survey.
After completing the registration form, you will receive an email with a link to arrange your survey. It takes up to one week to complete your survey and approximately three weeks to install your charger. Your installation may take longer than this if your property requires additional works, such as electrical upgrades, or if our installer is required to submit an application form for your property. An application form is required if your household load is close to the limit of your main fuse. Most agencies respond to applications within 1 – 4 weeks.
Your first year is free! Thereafter, you’ll be charged £75 per year to benefit from Intelligent Charging.
We have calculated that Honda drivers can save up to £2,034 per year by using e:PROGRESS. These savings are based on an average household energy consumption of 4200 kWh per year plus the energy consumed by a Honda e travelling 8,000 miles per year (22 miles per day) with an efficiency of 4 miles/kWh, or 2000 kWh. The monetary savings are calculated by comparing the cost of this energy when powered by Agile Octopus against a standard flat tariff with a rate of 17.4p/kWh and a standing charge of 25p/day. Tariff pricing for Agile Octopus is based on the past 12 months’ data (up to June 2021) for the London area. Vehicle charging costs are based on e:PROGRESS intelligent charging selecting the half-hourly periods with the lowest prices on the Agile Octopus tariff between 6pm and 6am each day. The vehicle charging rate is fixed at 6.6kW/h. Your savings will differ based on your household consumption, vehicle usage, driving style, and location.
You do not need to switch tariff. However, you should consider switching to a dynamic or dual rate tariff to receive the maximum cost and carbon savings from e:PROGRESS.
